I was born and raised an only child in a suburb where not much happens, and when you're a kid with no other siblings to play with you often rely on your imagination to keep yourself entertained. Because of this I have come up with many ideas and scenarios that I would draw on paper or act out with my stuffed animals. Television was another means of entertainment for me, and the cartoons I watched would always inspire me to come up with even more ideas. I don't believe in natural talent, but rather practice and passion. And over the years my love of cartoons and my desire to create stories and characters through drawings has encouraged me to carve out a career in the animation industry. Going to SVA with other artists who are all skilled and creative in their own ways has also helped me realize that I am not alone and that we can all help one another out. I believe that art is a great way to show everyone that we are all individuals. We all experience and view things differently and so the art we create will all be just as different and unique as we are, and it feels great to be able to express myself through such a fun medium.
